the thing about being someone who’s never catcalled is that you start to wonder why like is it because im ugly???
and then you realize that youre judging your worth by whether or not you are objectifiable to a man and thats so fucked up like honestly its so fucked up
but the worst part about the patriarchy is that it still sits at the back of your mind regardless like “nobody thinks youre pretty because they dont see you as a sex object” like somehow thats a desirable thing and it fucks me up
You’re either public property or completely invisible.
if you currently identify as straight or cis, and you want to explore the possibility of being something else, thats okay and good. if you explore and/or identify as non-straight or non-cis for a time, and then find out you actually are still straight/cis too, that is also okay.
in all honesty, i’m not really saying this for the people who will end up still cis/het. like, it is okay, 100%, but most people will support you in that eventual identity and it will likely be easier to get there than it will to question initially.
the real reason im saying this is because so many of us are scared of being wrong, of “appropriating the experience” and whatnot, that we don’t ever actually get the chance to self-reflect and see if our questions may be genuine.
it’s okay to question your gender n orientation, it’s okay if youre wrong - its okay if youre right. cis and straight are not the default, and you deserve to explore all of your options. you deserve to find your most sincere, true self.

i love Legally Blonde so much. all of the women are so supportive of each other im??
- when Elle was supposed to get engaged, none of the girls were jealous, they were genuinely happy for her n helped her get ready for the big dinner
- when her bf broke up with her they were supportive
- when Elle says she wants to go to harvard the counselor lady is like but ur major is fashion, do u have any backup plan? n elle is like nope im going to harvard n the lady is like okay then here’s what u gotta do.
- her friends didnt get why she wanted to go to law school but supported her anyway, and helped her study
- when she got 179 on her exam (more than her goal), they treated her like a queen
and that’s only in the first 18 minutes of the movie
Legally Blonde is a “girl power” movie with killer inspirational and positive attitude disguised as a stereotypical blonde movie.
